Small, quiet, and breathtakingly beautiful, Saturna Island is favoured as the perfect year-round hideaway. Winter Cove Provincial Park features beaches, an anchorage, a boat launch, a picnic area, walking trails, and a
tidal marsh popular among bird watchers. East Point Park, a day-use park near the lighthouse, has a lovely beach for swimming and is a good place to watch for whales ftom shore. You’ll find another picturesque beach in Thomson Park and more coastal wilderness at Narvaez Bay Protected Area. A gravel road leads to the 497-metre summit of Mount Warburton Pike, an excellent vantage point for spotting eagles, vultures, and wild goats. Other relaxing things to do on Saturna Island include sampling the fine vintages at the winery, guided island tours, kayaking, and cycling. Saturna Island hosts some wonderful events, including Studio Tours, a summer market, and the July 1st Lamb Barbecue.
