Strathcona Provincial Park is B.C.'s oldest provincial park and covers 250,445 hectares and boasts six of the seven highest peaks on Vancouver Island. When it comes to outdoor activities, Strathcona Provincial Park has it all — swimming, fishing, hiking, climbing, boating, and camping. Upper Campbell Lake is a popular destination for windsurfers, sailors, kayakers, canoeists, and freshwater anglers. Just outside the park boundaries, the Strathcona Park Lodge and Outdoor Education Centre offers a variety of wilderness skills training
programs and family oriented holidays. The park is located just 31
kilometers west of Courtenay on the Strathcona Parkway, 21
kilometers west of Courtenay via Forbidden Plateau, or 59
kilometers west of Campbell River along Highway 28.
