North Central cycling and mountain biking

In the Comox Valley, there is a large network of year-round cycling routes. The Courtenay Riverway is a paved multi­purpose pathway that provides safe, scenic cycling for the whole family. The quiet country roadways on both Denman and Hornby Islands are ideal for sightseers. In Campbell River, more scenic cycling routes await, including the 4.2-kilometre Rotary Beach Seawalk.
Mountain bikers wanting something more rugged have plenty of options. In the Comox Valley, there is a diverse network of trails. Mount Washington has several routes and features lift-serviced downhill mountain biking, and the mountains in the Cumberland area present more good options. On Hornby Island, there are 21 mountain biking trails to choose from. Near Campbell River, mountain bikers can test their sldlls on several trails. Old logging roads on Quadra Island offer some excellent single-track riding.
