The tiny community of Telegraph Cove is huge on outdoor adventure. Every year, thousands of international visitors come here to watch whales, kayak along the coastlines, dive into the clear water, and fish. In addition to its reputation as an outdoor adventure mecca, Telegraph Cove is also one of the most picturesque places on Vancouver Island. Overlooking a tranquil inlet, Telegraph Cove has the distinction of being a village on stilts. Many of Telegraph Cove’s historic buildings, including several guesthouses, are raised above the water on pilings and are joined by boardwalks. While in Telegraph Cove, visit the Whale Bone Interpretive Centre and Museum which
offers an exploratory look at all things related to whales.
