The Liliget Feast House (1724 Davie Street, West End, 604-681-7044, www.liliget.com) is an unusual space, with sunken cedar tables and a beach-pebble floor. For years, it has served foods familiar to BC’S Aboriginal people, including wild salmon and bannock bread. Under current chef Felix Parnell of the Queen Charlotte Islands, you can dine on (in season) alder-grilled salmon, oysters, prawns, venison, wild rice, and steamed ferns — all bounty of the North Coast region.
